Ben Johnson was born in Vancouver in 1971. He grew up in Vancouver and Hong Kong, and was encouraged to take photographs from an early age by his parents, an anthropologist and a sociologist. His work has always been documentary and enthnographic in style. He lives in Vancouver, and shoots projects primarily in Canada and Southeast Asia.
